What scientific experiment would you perform to provide evidence that self existent matter exists

If there is no such experiment (and there’s not) then belief in naturalism (which is basically another word for physicalism) is as much (or more) a religion as any other. The difference from all other religions is it relies on belief in something that by definition, can never be experienced.
