This was my experience precisely. I did very precise keto (instructed by an expert) under 20 carbs. I had already lost 30 pounds simply by doing a 1500 calorie diet (no dietary restrictions, just lowered calories), but wanted to lost "the last 10 pounds" and nothing was working. Did numerous other things besides keto but nothing worked.

In 2018, I started a 90 minute aerobics class 3 times a week without any other dietary changes. Lost 8 pounds in 3 months and have kept it off (mostly!:>) since.

I remember in my 20s, if I ever started to gain weight, all I had to do was run a few extra miles a few times a week and it effortlessly came off. I thought since i was past 60 nothing like that would work, but it turned out it did.

If you've tried everything from Fuhrman and McDougall to the strictest keto and you've come to a dead end, I strongly recommend ramping up the exercise, if you know how to do it. Our aerobics teacher had been teaching for 30 years and gave an astonishingly well integrated round of stretching, cardio, balance and strengthening exercises.
