That's not your body asking for it.

In any case, just because something in you is asking for something it doesn't require you to respond.

If something in you was asking you to punch someone in front of you, generally speaking, you don't do it, right?

We've come to think of ourselves almost as robots: "I'm hungry, I have to eat."

Here's a novel idea:

What if I'm completely relaxed, not attempting to control or manipulate anything about myself.

A craving for drugs, spending money, gambling, alcohol, smoking, excess eating comes along.

What if I remain perfectly content, remain aware of it, see as calmly and peacefully and joyfully as can be imagined, that the body doesn't need this, and wait for the craving to pass?

The end of addictions.
