Several friends who have vast experience with both Asian and western philosophies summed up the value of Bernardo's work quite in line with what you write - he is excellent when it comes to debunking physicalist nonsense. If only he had stopped there - his alternative. is not just wrong but, well, creepy (dissociated alters, bacteria in the toilet!)

I met him online about 9 years ago. I was immediately struck by how clear and potentially revolutionary his critique of materialism was. He had not yet formulated his alternative idealist philosophy. I urged him for the next few years to focus primarily on his critique, as there were already dozens of modern, beautifully, wisefully formulated nondual alternatives.

unfortunately, he went for dissociated alters and bacteria. So we're waiting for someone else who can put together the critique in a similar but more focused manner.
