It's great you're encouraging the older folks. A lot around my age (70) grew up at a time when regular exercise wasn't thought to be so important.

I get inspired by keeping up with the youngsters. When I did psych evals (back in my "youth" - in my early to mid 60s) I often saw kids in their teens who would complain about not being motivated to exercise.

I'd say, 'Ok, get down on the floor. If a 65 year old guy can beat you in a pushup competition, that might inspire you."

Since I can usually do at least 40 consecutive ones, I knew I could usually beat them. So far, I've always won."

So fellow oldsters, if you want some motivation, getting ahead of your younger peers might be one way to get you moving more!
