It seems to me with weight loss drugs we finally have an irrefutably clear answer to the calories dilemma (though people twist themselves in linguistic knots to avoid admitting it)
There is one of about 9 weight loss drugs that people think MIGHT work by absorbing fat, but it is not one of the drugs that countless people are now taking.
What happens? No matter what macronutrients are involved - low fat, high fat, low carb, high carb - the drugs work by reducing hunger….. AND therefore, people lower their calorie intake, and lose weight, and keep it off (as long as they continue with the drugs, which keep their hunger levels lower)
I’ve seen many articles which say, “See, it’s NOT reduce calories, it’s reduce hunger”
I don’t know, maybe I don’t know how to read English, but it seems to me, you don’t see that’s the same thing as reducing calories, either I’m illiterate or these people are playing games.
I get that 100 calories of twinkies are not metabolized the same as 100 calories of eggs (I’m writing this because someone is going to claim I’m not taking that into account)
Sorry, non sequitur. The fact remains, the drugs work by reducing hunger - AND people lose weight because they’re taking in fewer calories.
