I love your articles and welcoming attitude and agree with about 90% of what you wrote here.
I just want to mention there are well-done and well replicated studies that for people with moderate depression (and in some cases even severe, but not for most) 30 minutes of rigorous (but hopefully, ALSO joyful!) exercise has the same mood altering effect as most anti depressant medication.
There are similarly well done, well replicated studies showing a similar dose equivalent effect on ADHD (again, mostly for mild or moderate forms but for some, even severe forms) between 1 dose of medication and a 20 minute (yep, they actually specified 20 minutes!) walk in nature.
Note that they also specified walking in a beautiful nature setting was more powerful than a dull suburban walk, which points again to the essential factor that you have emphasized so much in your writings - joy, delight, playfulness.
In any case, a small point; otherwise wonderful and wise observations.
