Hey Jay - great stuff. I'd love to hear from others how they fit NEAT into their day. I'll share two categories of things I've done -

AT THE OFFICE

I worked in an office from 2015 to 2020. I did the following:

1. Kept a 5 lb kettlebell on my desk to encourage patients (I worked as a psychologist) to exercise. Had a 30 lb kettlebell in the corner which I swung every hour or so.

2. Developed a series of dynamic stretches - only chose ones I LOVED so it would motivate me to get up and move - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xLlE7csP1KI If you have one of those stretch bands (NOT with handles) you can use it for some of the dynamic stretches, particularly overhead - it feels SO good you'll be looking forward to your NEAT breaks.

AT HOME

I'm working from home now, so I've added, in addition to the kettlebell and stretches, the following:

1. My wife and I walk outside every day (when I was working at the office, I used to get up 30 minutes early to run in our neighborhood; you can make time whether working at home or the office)

2. I have a Leaps and Rebounds mini trampoline. Jan and I take turns during the day dancing, bouncing, etc on it.

3. I have a band WITH handles that I loop around the FAR legs of a chair. Several times a day, I use it - with my feet propped up against the NEAR legs of the chair - to do rowing. I've done rowing machines at the gym and find this more challenging AND a LOT more fun!

I'd love to hear what else people try. Oh, if I didn't set my iPhone to ring every hour to remind me, I wouldn't do as much! Highly recommended.
