From the linked article on expert consensus:

"It is widely agreed that Western diets high in ultra-processed food are deleterious and that considerable health improvements would likely result from shifting the population toward eating mostly minimally processed foods."

If there's ONE THING that I think everyone from keto to vegan can agree on, it's the above. I always start there (ultra processed vs minimally processed) to talk about the fact that there IS in fact universal consensus on something ("minimally processed food" is what Michael Pollan refers to simply as "real food" - or food your grandmother would recognize).

Regarding the latest guidelines at the end.

I'd like to ask, for people who want to argue, how about this:

If you don't want to eat higher glycemic fruits, or starchy vegetables, or grains or legumes, don't. Just don't tell others they shouldn't eat them, particularly when one of your keto heroes, Dr. David Ludwig, supports them for more than 75% of the population.

Ok, I'll wait to hear the arguments!:>))
