I"m always fascinated how fundamentalists are so frightened of the whole world of psychology but are perfectly happy to make ample use of a materialistic based science which is utterly at odds with their belief system.

As far as the fear of psychology, it's understandable if you live in a delusional world, you're not going to want to have your delusions challenged.
