Daniel, I love static stretching. It sounds like you may not be as much in disagreement with Neeramitra as it seems at first.

I've heard that generally dynamic stretching is best before working out, but static stretching is great for the cool down afterwards, and by itself as a light exercise routine in the evenings.

Is that consistent with what you've seen?
