All great points. I compare people I see now with people when I was a kid (50s and 60s) and no doubt. a huge (pun intended) difference.

One of the commenters mentioned the impact of highly processed foods, and I see you're going to cover that as well.

But one thing you didn't mention that makes it so much harder now is the social environment. It's fairly easy at home to eat 1960s portions, but when everyone at the office, at a party, at your table for 6 resturant is eating 2020s portions, it's quite a bit harder to eat 1960s portions.

i find that having water (or tea or coffee) to take frequent small sips is very helpful when eating out and feeling tempted by others taking frequent large bites of their food.
