Actually, the Sufis (Islamic mystics) are aware of those verses but have a very different view.

They see astrology as the simple intuitive reading of the patterns by which Allah is bringing forth the infinite Divine universe eternally, from timeless moment to timeless moment. This is no different from the understanding of the Kabbalah, Kashmir Saivism, and many other contemplative traditions around the world.

The difficulty is in the modern age, where most of us have been influenced by materialistic thinking, the Koran, like the Bible and even the Gita, is interpreted in a left brain, literalist manner that completely distorts the intention of these great sacred writings.
